Josh's Boat Page
Photography
While sailing you often see wonderful things, things you'd like to share with your friends. Of course you could just enjoy the scenary and try to tell your friends about it, but nothing beats a good picture of a romantic sunset at sea to get them interested, and eager to get out and expreience it themselves.
Taking pictures at sea is difficult, the boa moves so you can't use long exposure times, the sun is often where you don't want it or the sea is trying its best to drench you, and the camera, in salty seawater. But when you do get a good shot it can be worth a lot, breathtaking for some.
In this part of my webpage I will share some pictures that I have taken while sailing or on holiday. I hope you enjoy them.

Fritha
As a family we have spent many happy weeks on Fritha and experienced some great times!
The pictures in this album were taken at many different locations; Ijsselmeer, Grevelinger Meer and Milford Haven

So as you can see there is a lot of everything! Winches, ropse and space!

Clyde Challenger
Clyde Challenger is a 60foot ocean racing yacht, built to withstand the harshest environments on this planet with a team of ameteur sailors on board. As such she is not the fastest boat out there but havin been around the world 4 times, gathering a total of over 1600000 nautical miles in total, she is an awesome boat to sail.
These pictures were taken on the Irish Sea on a weekend trip to Ireland.

Sailing in the Baltic
Crewing other people's boats is always a good and cheap way to see other parts of the world you would usually not think of going to.
During summer 2009 I was able to get on board a Bavaria 38 cruiser sailing from Denmark through the Baltic to Kiel then through to Hamburg, island hopping through the German and Dutch islands until we arrived at the Ijsselmeer two weeks later.
